Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Saint Cloud, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project is currently under construction. All trades have been awarded. The St. Cloud Water Treatment Plant #4 Upgrade Project is located on 3201 Kissimmee Park Road in St. Cloud, Florida. The existing water treatment plant (WTP) utilizes the MIEX system to remove the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) from the groundwater to meet potable water requirements. There have been continuing operating issues with the MIEX system. To improve the operation and provide consistent TOC removal, the MIEX will be replaced with a fixed bed ion exchange (IX) treatment system. Other upgrades and improvements include upgrading the aeration system to remove hydrogen sulfide, improvements to the wells, replacement of high service pumps, and upgrades to the electrical system.
