Renovation of a multi-residential development in Fort Scott, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The Work includes interior renovation of bathrooms at these single story apartments, and other items indicated on the plans and specifications. Bids are to include all necessary labor, materials and equipment. For all construction and equipment contracts over $25,000, the bidder shall be required to submit with the bid a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bond at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularity in bidding. Attention is called to the provisions of equal opportunity and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the specifications. This contract is subject to the conditions of Executive Order 11246, which prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin on federal or federally assisted construction contracts. This contract also is subject to the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of Forty Five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Fort Scott Housing Authority.
