The City of St. Helena is seeking a qualified firm to provide maintenance, annual generator servicing and mechanical repair services to assist us with repair of our multiple generators used by the City of St. Helena Public Works Department. The services required shall include a regular, scheduled maintenance program (including routine adjustments and repairs) for the generators owned and operated by the Public Works department of the City of St. Helena. The work may also include from time to time, as-needed and as-requested basis, non-routine and/or emergency maintenance and repairs. The Contractor shall coordinate all work through the Department of Public Works. Service and maintenance of emergency generators shall consist of checking and replenishing all oils and lubricants, performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to make generators operational. The Contractor shall provide a program of routine preventative maintenance and load testing of a minimum of twice per year designed to eliminate or reduce the incidents of malfunction and extend the useful life of the equipment. The Contractor (s) shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervisors to perform all services as described. The City will determine any additional work to be performed on an on-call as-needed, when needed basis. The City will select, the most qualified Contractor with competitive prices to perform the work. The City reserves the right to award a contract for performance of the required services based on the negotiated price, terms and conditions. The City reserves the right to reject all bids and circulate another RFP.
