The City of Lenoir is seeking informal bids to perform field inspections to identify water service line material in response to requirements as set forth in the Lead and Copper Rules Revision (LCRR) issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The City has approximately 10,000 meters to be inspected. The project includes the visual inspection of service line material inside meter boxes, and, if visual inspection is not possible, pot holing the service line at least 18" on the customer side of the meter box or curb stop. Each inspection shall include digital documentation of the service line material through a web-based service. One online account access will be provided by the City. Quotes shall include a per meter box price for visual inspections and a per meter box price for pot holing the service line. Bidders must hold all applicable licenses. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
