Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of Rock Island is requesting bids from contractors for a rehabilitation project at a house located at 811 15th Street. This owner-occupied property will be undergoing rehabilitation using Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funds to ameliorate deteriorating and deteriorated conditions. All work shall be subject to HUD 35.930 and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. The bidder shall submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all applicable HUD, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required should be clearly identified in the project plan. This Project will require several different trades and scopes to complete. Check the bath exhaust fan in the first-floor bath. Making sure there's power going to the fixture and if the motor has not burnt up. This needs to be in working order replace and repair as needed. Install 5 smoker/co2 lithium battery units throughout the house. Looking for at least 10 yr. battery life. Need two ADA grab bars installed in the shower on the first-floor bath. Install matching keyed locksets and deadbolts in the front and side exterior doors. Install a metal railing on the front concrete steps leading up to the porch. Must be able to with stand 200lbs of force. Tuckpoint the foundation, infilling all and any air pockets that you can see daylight through with approved grout. Main area location is on the south side around the bay windows and silcok. Looking to extend ADA concrete sidewalk connecting the ramp to the driveway. Remove the section of broken concrete on the front sidewalk and lower two steps leaving the upper concrete steps intact, replace with like kind. No permits required for this work. Alternative specifications shall be considered only if they are clearly justified, cost effective, and meet all project objectives. The contractor shall have 30 days to complete the work from the date of contract signing. Change work orders over the course of the project are strongly discouraged All questions shall be directed to the Construction Officer at 309-732-2906.
