Design Building - Design and Construction Services for Golden Park Improvements. Provide surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of your total cost proposal. The 5% surety shall be in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety company, a Cashier's Check, a Certified Check or a Money Order, in favor of Columbus Consolidated Government. No personal or company checks accepted. The successful Contractor shall, without any additional cost to Columbus Consolidated Government, furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, within ten (10) calendar days after approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price. Such bond shall be issued from a reliable surety company, licensed to do business in the state of Georgia and acceptable to Columbus Consolidated Government. Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to engage a Design-Builder to design and construct improvements to Golden Park in order to bring it up to standards required by Major League Baseball. Applicants should have experience in designing and building baseball facilities. The scope of services includes A. Turnkey design services for all improvements. This includes design services for Golden Park including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural design services. It also includes all sitework design services including civil, landscape, and utility coordination. Coordination with City staff and other entities will be required. B. Complete construction services including procurement and installation of all proposed improvements. C. The project shall be substantially. complete in April 2025. The City anticipates awarding this contract in February 2024. The estimated project cost is $50 million. Project must be completed by April 2025. The selected Design-Builder will be responsible for all programing, design, and construction. The City reserves the right to award this project or to reject any and all proposals; whichever is in the best interest of the City.
