The Contractor shall furnish and install 60,000 lbs of an approved 12x40 mesh activated carbon media for removal of PFOS and PFOA. o Contractor shall demolish and properly dispose of the existing 8-inch fiberglass reinforced pipe, fittings and valves. o Furnish and Install 8-inch ductile iron pipe, fittings and valves and perform all specified testing. o Furnish and install 1" Schedule 80 PVC pipe from the Water Operations Center to the filter building in an existing pipe sleeve including all valving. o Furnish and install all necessary piping and valving in the Water Operations Center to reconnect the existing sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide injection lines to the filter building. o Furnish and install three (3) injection quills in the filter building. o Bidders for this project are required to comply with the Village Apprenticeship Training Program requirements. o The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, utilities, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as specified in the Technical Specifications and as shown on the Plans. o This project is funded with New York State Financial Assistance and is subject to MWBE and SDVOB goals and additional required documentation. New York State certified MWBE participation goals for this contract are 20%. Completion- 180 consecutive calendar days
