The Trenton Public Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment and all other services to complete REPLACEMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 1,000 SF OF CERAMIC TILE FLOORING at TRENTON HIGH SCHOOL, 2603 Charlton, Trenton, MI 48183 All bids shall be valid for not less than 60 days from the due date. The Trenton Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part; to award the contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner. The bid award will be made by the Board of Education on a lump sum basis. he intent of this work is the removal and replacement of approximately 1,000 SF of the ceramic tile and mortar subbase in the Trenton High School kitchen serving line. Care shall be taken to ensure that adjacent flooring surfaces and sanitary base are not damaged and that the new tile surfaces align. Kitchen serving units and warmers shall be removed before work begins by school kitchen personnel. Care shall be taken by the bidder not to damage electrical connections in the work area. A bid bond or certified check, for an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the - bid, must accompany each bid. The check or bond of each unsuccessful bidder will be returned within ten (10) days after the bid is awarded. Failure to submit proper bid security may constitute rejection of bid. Prior to the issuance of a purchase order authorizing commencement of this project, and in all cases before beginning work under the contract, the contractor(s) selected will qualify for, sign and deliver to the Business Office, an executed performance bond and executed labor and materials payment bond secured by the surety company. Each bond will be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract.
