Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
Due to age, several indoor/outdoor pools are in need of major repair and/or replacement. This project is also consistent with the Plan2Play with a focus on deferred maintenance, repair identified in approved aquatics plan and 2024 P&R Commission approved deferred maintenance document. The sites include pools at Lindley, Peeler, Warnersvile, Smith along with sprayground maintenance at Keeley and Barer Park. ARP funding was allocated to complete necessary repairs for operation at Warnersville, Peeler and Lindley. Funding only covered repairs at Warnersville, Peeler and pool surface at Lindley. Funding is still needed to complete the structural repairs for the pump room at Lindley to be operational. As of January 24, 2025, this project has been cancelled.
