Questions Due Date: Jan 24th 2024, 5:00 PM PST. The purpose of this Invitation to Bid is to solicit bids from interested and qualified vendors to inspect and repair building fire alarm and suppression systems. This is to replace our existing contract# 3220 with Johnson Controls which will be closed upon award of the new contract. The annual spend is about $90k. The City has an extensive inventory of buildings and occupancies, from water treatment operations employing caustic chemical agents and pump stations to solid waste facilities containing potentially combustible contaminates to offices and warehouses. Each has a fire alarm or sprinkler system or both, and each system requires a Fire Marshal mandated annual inspection. Should a system deficiency or failure occur, this service shall also have the capacity to diagnose the issue, address permit approvals, and institute whatever repairs (including component replacement) are required to maintain the functionality of these life safety systems.
