Replacement of existing lead water service lines on both the public and private side of the right-of-way as detailed in the Plans and Specifications. Public replacement will run from the water main to the right-of-way and private replacements will run from the right-of-way line to the meter connection point. This work will consist of approximately +/- 135 replacements through either open-cut trenching operations or directional boring of the water service line. Existing lines are to be abandoned in place upon successful connection of newly installed pipe. Bidders shall bid unit prices to install services. Bids that contain unbalanced unit costs shall be subject to further review and may not be awarded.
