2024 Concrete Contract. Work included in this contract may include, but is not limited to, the removal and/or replacement of concrete streets, sidewalks, drive approaches, medians, alleys, barrier free sidewalk ramps, pipe and inlets and concrete channels All bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond or cashier's check in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bid guaranty is required by the CITY as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the BIDDER shall execute the Contract and furnish the required bonds and evidence of insurance within ten (10) days after receipt of the awarded contract. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City. Quantities are estimated and based on projected usage. It is specifically understood and agreed that these quantities are approximate and any increased quantities will be paid at the regular quoted price. The contractor shall not have any claim against the City of Sachse for any quantities ordered that are less than the estimated bid amount.
