Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Covington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a road / highway; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and sidewalk / parking lot.

SCOPE OF WORK The GC shall: A. Pre-Construction 1. Meet with officials of the City, City's Owners Agent, Kenton County, the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, Duke Energy, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet ("KYTC") and Northern Kentucky Water Services and others as needed to coordinate project aspects and resolve issues 2. Propose trailer and temporary facility locations for City review and approval. 3. Furnish a detailed construction schedule. 4. Locate and mark all underground site utilities: a. Public and Private. b. Abandoned and Active. c. To be Removed. 5. Coordinate utilities disconnect(s) with the City, Duke Energy and any other requisite entity. 6. Prepare a Waste Management Plan, subject to review and approval by the City. 7. Review all design and specification documents. 8. Perform a Constructability review with alternate pricing options for the City's consideration and direction of related actions. B. Construction Shall Include, but is not limited to: 1. General Conditions. 2. Mobilization / Demobilization. 3. Mass Grading. 4. Soil Import. 5. Underground Utility Installation: a. Electric. b. Water. c. Sanitary d. Storm Water. e. Telecommunications. f. Gas. 6. Retaining Wall Construction. 7. Retaining Wall Demolition. 8. Concrete Sidewalk & Curb Installation. 9. New Street and Alley Construction. 10.Erosion Control. 11.Temporary Seeding. C. Other Scope Items 1. Proposals shall include project site security and security monitoring policy, subject to City review and approval, which Respondent proposes to implement for the duration of any resulting agreement. Policy objectives and operational components include: a. Mitigation of risks of damage to and/or loss of property. The expression "property" includes real property/premises, chattel, equipment, materials, supplies, and/or other forms of property typically classed as personal. b. Active project site security surveillance/monitoring. c. Risk/threat management and escalation protocols. d. Minimize damage and/or loss recovery financial and time expenditures. e. Existing perimeter fence may be maintained if contractor deems it suitable for construction. 2. Proposals shall include a signage management policy, subject to review and approval by the City, compliance with which Respondent shall assure and bear responsibility for the duration of any resulting agreement. Policy objective is to effectively limit the numbers, sizes and types of engaged project participants' promotional credits. Any such promotional signage shall be aesthetically coherent to the City, the project site, and the neighborhood community in which located. a. Reference(s) to the City on project signage shall include the City's typically scheduled working days and hours and any other information the City may stipulate. 3. Respondents shall furnish with, and as part of, their proposal response, a Community Engagement Plan ("CEP") acceptable to the City, which assures that adjacent and nearby community stakeholders (residents, businesses, non-profit organizations, etc.) shall be regularly and routinely communicated with and provided adequate and appropriate means and methods to communicate with Respondent regarding project performance, progress, schedules, status, concerns, complaints, improvement suggestions, and other matters related to project performance. The CEP shall include, but is not necessarily limited to: a. Proposed methodology to assure advance notification of and advice to community stakeholders regarding operations that may produce Question Deadline 01/15/2024 at 11:00 AM ET Question will be received through electronically. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
