SCOPE OF WORK Catawba County (hereinafter County) is requesting bids from qualified Contractor(s) to provide road repairs to Wind Bluff Court located within The Knolls Subdivision in Catawba County. The Knolls Subdivision Road Improvement Project Map is attached to this Invitation for Bids as Attachment A. Submit Written Questions Contractor January 12, 2024 at 5:00 PM Provide Responses to Questions County January 16, 2024 at 5:00 PM PAYMENT BOND: The Contractor is required to submit a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum, conditioned upon the prompt payment for all labor or materials for which Contractor or a subcontractor is liable. 2. PERFORMANCE BOND: The Contractor is required to submit a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum, conditioned upon the faithful performance of this Agreement in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and conditions of the Bid and Contract Documents. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES. If the Contractor shall neglect, fail, or refuse to complete the work within the time herein specified, then the Contractor does hereby agree, as a part of the consideration for the awarding of this contract to pay to the County the sum of $500.00 per day, not as a penalty, but as compensation to the County for delays, damages, and additional expenses for such breach of contract as hereinafter set forth, for each and every calendar day that the Contractor shall be in default after the time stipulated in the contract for completing the work.
