The work is located in various locations throughout the County. The work, in general, consists of crack sealing approximately 24 miles of existing urban and rural roadways throughout San Joaquin County with crack treatment material. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. A bid security of 10% is required from all bidders. Bid Security other than electronic bond must be received by the Department prior to the bid opening closing time specified above. A contractor or subcontractor will not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. The general prevailing wage rates have been determined by the Director of the State Department of Industrial Relations and it will be mandatory upon the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor to pay not less than these specified rates to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract, all in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770-1776 inclusive of the Labor Code.
