Renovation of an educational facility in Herrin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Herrin Junior High School Expansion. DESCRIPTION OF ORK The Kitchen Equipment Contractor (KEC) is to furnish all materials, equipment, and appliances called for on the drawings and as specified. The KEC is responsible for the delivery, assembly, erection and leveling of all equipment included in the drawings and specifications at the locations shown on the plans. The KEC is responsible for the coordination of his work under this contract with the Owner as well as the Owner's forces and contractors on the project. All work shall conform to the Illinois School Code, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Health Life Safety Code, the Illinois Plumbing Code, the National Electrical Code, and the City of Herrin requirements. Drawings, Specifications, and Addenda will be shared free online. There will be NO Pre-Bid Meeting. Bids may not be withdrawn until 30 days after the bid date and time. To demonstrate qualification for performing the Work of this Contract, bidders may be requested to submit written evidence of financial position, and evidence of license to perform work in the State of Illinois as well as evidence that their firm is not debarred from bidding or receiving contracts with the State of Illinois or the Illinois Capital Development Board. Successful bidders shall be required to observe 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et. Seq., pertaining to wages and known as the "Prevailing Wage Act" as issued by the Illinois Department of Labor. Successful bidders shall also observe 30 ILCS 560/0.01 et. Seq., pertaining to hiring Illinois labor and known as the "Public Work Preference Act". Furthermore, successful bidders shall observe the "Illinois Human Rights Act, as Amended", 775 ILCS 5/1-101et. Seq., and the Rules and Regulations, Title 44, Section 750 of the Illinois Administrative Code, Illinois Department of Human Rights. Successful bidders and their subcontractors shall be required to enter a project labor agreement with the Egyptian Building & Construction Trades Council. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
