The Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota (the University) is requesting Proposals to provide construction services for exterior repairs at Anderson Library, located on the west bank of the Twin Cities campus (the Project). Miller Dunwiddieis the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project If required by Minnesota Statutes, the selected Respondent must furnish to the University a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for the Project on University-approved bond forms, which are available on-line Question Deadline 01/16/2024 at 12:00 PM CT The total construction budget for this Project is $1,000,000 1. The intent of the project is to complete the Andersen Library Exterior Envelope Repairs Phase I project, for the Owner on a fast-track basis. It is essential that the project be completed within the shortest timeframe possible and within the period indicated. 2. The intent of the project is to require the Prime Contractor to provide all labor and material required to complete the project on the dates indicated. 3. The work generally includes the following: a. Building general construction work, for building and site clearing, as well as the repair, patching or replacing of items or surfaces cut or removed for the work including the following major items of work: Selective Demolition, Cement Concrete Pavement, Pavement Joint Sealants, Site Restoration, Cast Stone, Brick Masonry Assemblies, Masonry Through-wall Flashing, Railing Painting, Miscellaneous Carpentry, Sheathing, Elastomeric Sheet Waterproofing, Thermoplastic Sheet Waterproofing, Hot Fluid-Applied Rubberized Asphalt Waterproofing, Membrane Leak Detection System, Bentonite Waterproofing, Water Repellents, Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim, Joint Sealants, and related work. b. Removal and disposal of existing materials removed or demolished. c. Temporary facilities as required for the project, protection of existing site and adjacent buildings, and temporary staging areas as required. d. Workers shall keep interior building locations used clean. Workers shall remove boots or clean boots before entering buildings.
