Job No: MM22002 & MM22003 Location: Passenger rail corridor from St. Louis, MO to St. Joseph, MO and corridor from Quincy, IL to Hannibal, MO Proposed Improvement: There are two proposed improvements that will require consultant services. 1. Hannibal Extension of Existing Chicago-Quincy Corridor: The proposed corridor would connect Hannibal, MO, to Chicago, IL, by extending an existing state-supported route (the Illinois Zephyr/Carl Sandburg between Chicago and Quincy, IL) and the activities undertaken as part of the development of the corridor would result in an extension of an existing route. 2. Extending the existing Missouri River Runner Route from Kansas City, MO to St. Joseph, MO as well as testing the feasibility of a third round-trip service: The proposed corridor would connect St. Joseph to Kansas City, MO, and include a connection with the existing state-supported Missouri River Runner route to St. Louis, MO. Analysis of the entire Missouri River Runner route will be needed. The activities undertaken as part of the development of the corridor would result in a new proposed route.
