The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit a bid for the Culvert Replacement project construction phase for Brooksvale Stream in Naugatuck State Forest. Contract to be awarded on or about February 16th, 2024 with a start date on or about April 1st, 2024. Completion Time Allowed: One Hundred and Sixty (160) Calendar Days. (Substantial Completion) Liquidated Damages: Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per calendar day. NAE-2021-01764 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has reviewed your application to replace existing, twin dilapidated culverts carrying Brooksvale Stream. The replacement culverts consist of a 10 foot, 8 inches by 6-foot, 11-inch corrugated metal pipe arch for the main stream channel and twin 57 inch by 38-inch overflow pipe arches. This work will result in the permanent discharge of approximately 1,325 square-feet of fill consisting of the new culvert, a rock wier, headwalls and boulder revetments and the temporary discharge of fill consisting of coffer dams, a bypass pipe and erosion controls below the Ordinary High Water line (OHW) of Brooksvale Stream. This work shall be conducted along State Forest Road in the Naugatuck State Forest in Hamden, Connecticut and is shown on the enclosed plans titled.
