The following general tasks comprise the scope of work to complete the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan for the Lexington-Fayette Co. MSA. Question Deadline 01/12/2024 at 12:00 PM ET Questions shall be submitted via online Proposals, once submitted, may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive technicalities and informalities when such waiver is determined by the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government to be in its best interest. The Entity (regardless of whether construction contractor, non-construction contractor or supplier) agrees to provide equal opportunity in employment for all qualified persons, to prohibit discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation or gender identity), national origin, disability, age, genetic information, political affiliation, or veteran status, and to promote equal employment through a positive, continuing program from itself and each of its sub-contracting agents. This program of equal employment opportunity shall apply to every aspect of its employment policies and practices. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has set a goal that not less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, which is made up of MBEs and WBEs. The Lexington Fayette Urban County Government also has set a goal that not less than three percent (3%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Veteran-owned Small Businesses. The goal for the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as well Veteran -owned Small Businesses as subcontractors is a recommended goal. Contractor(s) who fail to meet such goal will be expected to provide written explanations to the Director of the Division of Purchasing of efforts they have made to accomplish the recommended goal, and the extent to which they are successful in accomplishing the recommended goal will be a consideration in the procurement process. Depending on the funding source, other DBE goals may apply.
