The gravel haul for the Municipality will consist of loading, hauling and spreading road gravel provided from the Municipal Stockpile at SE16-15-12-W3M. The total amount of gravel to be hauled is approximately 8,000 cubic yards in the Municipality. The successful bidder shall meet all OH&S safety regulations and certifications and will be required to provide proof of safety certifications upon request Council reserves the right to consider tenders with minor omissions provided that the bidder, is successful in the tender awarding, can rectify the omission within five (5) days of the tender being awarded. The successful bidder shall supply all supervision, labour, materials, equipment, tools, and all other things necessary for the complete supply of the work as indicated or intended by the specifications which form part of this document. The unit price shall include the supply of all supervision, labour, materials, equipment, tools, and all other things necessary for the complete supply of the work. All trucks will require safety certifications. State the expected start and completion dates of work. Council reserves the right to cancel road gravel application if too late in the fall or call in another subcontractor to complete. The Municipality reserves the right to refuse to accept any or all tenders, and the lowest tender not necessarily be accepted. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any tender may be rejected which is incomplete, obscure, or irregular. The Municipality reserves the right to cancel the acceptance of any tender at any time before execution of the contract by all parties without any liability against the Municipality. Two business related references shall accompany the tender. Personal references will not be considered. If prices are similar, preference will be given to contractors whom have an established good working relationship with the Municipality. Preference will be given to short-notice availability to return and do 'spot graveling'.
