The Facility Operations Services of the City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as the City, is seeking offers from qualified firms to provide all labour, equipment, and materials for janitorial services at Glebe Community Centre located at 175 Third Avenue, Ottawa ON K1S 2H9, and Ottawa South Community Centre located at 260 Sunnyside Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1S 0R7 in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions set out herein. Commercial General Liability Insurance Issued on an Occurrence Basis for an Amount of Not Less Than $5,000,000 Per Occurrence for Any Negligent Acts or Omissions by the Contractor. Such Insurance Shall Include, but is Not Limited to, Bodily Injury, Death and Property Damage Including Loss of Use: Premises, Property and Operations Liability; Products and Broad Form Completed Operations Liability; Blanket Contractual Liability; Cross Liability; Severability of Interest Clause; Contingent Employers Liability; Personal Injury Liability; Owners and Contractors Protective Coverage; Non-owned Automobile Liability; Broad Form Property Damage; Employees as Additional Insured; Occurrence Property Damage. A Performance Security Will Be Required From the Successful Bidder Prior to the Execution of a Contract or the Placing of a Purchase Order and/or Letter of Award. Such Performance Security May, at the Discretion of the City, Be Either in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price, in the Form of Cash, a Cheque Certified by the Bank Upon Which It is Drawn, a Money Order, an Irrevocable Bank Letter of Credit With an Auto Renewal Clause (Draft Form Provided by the City of Ottawa), or a Renewable Performance Bond for a Multi-year Contract With an Emergency Remedial Measures Rider in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%) of the Total Tender Price From a Surety Company Authorized by Law to Carry Out Business in the Province of Ontario. The Performance Security Will Be Retained Until Completion of the Contract to the Satisfaction of the City. The Performance Security May Be Reduced at Various Stages of the Project, at the Discretion of the City The period of contract shall commence on 01 March 2024 and shall end on 28 February 2026. The City may, at its discretion, extend the period of contract for three (3) additional one (1) year terms subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and provided the contract pricing, terms and conditions for the extended period are acceptable to the City and the Contractor.
