Renovation of a municipal facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Hawaii Hall: Replacement of three (3) indoor air handling units, five (5) exhaust fans, chilled water piping system, ductwork, insulation, air terminal unit controls, and other related HVAC systems and equipment. Rebalance air handler systems and ventilation systems. Work also includes selective demolition, ceiling replacement, painting, plumbing, concrete, lighting, replacement of power and control wiring, hazardous material abatement and other miscellaneous related work. Crawford Hall: Replacement of four (4) outdoor air handling units, four (4) indoor fan coil units, chilled water piping system, ductwork, insulation, air terminal unit controls, and other related HVAC systems and equipment. Rebalance air handler systems and ventilation systems. Work also includes selective demolition, ceiling replacement, painting, plumbing, concrete, lighting, replacement of power and control wiring, hazardous material abatement and other miscellaneous related work. The contract time for this project shall be 300 consecutive calendar days from the effective date designated in the Notice to Proceed. From the effective date noted in the Notice to Proceed (NTP) letter, the Contractor shall proceed with his preparatory work such as preparing and forwarding submittals, obtaining approvals, obtaining permits, and other work as approved by the University. No work shall be allowed at the job site and no ordering of materials shall be allowed until receipt of the Notice to Proceed letter, or upon earlier written notice from the University. The Contractor shall be responsible for any air freight cost or overtime cost differentials necessary to complete the project within the project contract time. The Project Site is Hawaii Hall, 2580 Campus Road and Crawford Hall, 2550 Campus Road at the University of Hawaii Manoa Campus, Honolulu, Hawaii. If the Contractor is required or desires to use any design, device, material, or process covered by letters of patent or copyright, the right for such use shall be procured by the Contractor from the patentee or Owner. The Contractor and surety shall indemnify and hold harmless the State and its Departments and Agencies, any affected third party, or political subdivision from any and all claims for infringement by reason of the use of any such patented design, device, material, or process, or any trademark or copyright in connection with the work to be performed under the contract. The Contractor and surety shall indemnify the State and its Departments and Agencies for any costs, expenses and damages which it may be obliged to pay by reason of any such infringement at any time during the prosecution or after the completion of the work. The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is January 17, 2024. All clarification requests shall be submitted via HePS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS section, and all responses shall be issued in an addendum. The project shall in general consist of, but is not limited to, replacement of indoor and outdoor air handling units, indoor fan coil units, exhaust fans, chilled water piping system, ductwork, insulation, air terminal unit controls, and other related HVAC systems and equipment. Rebalance air handler systems and ventilation systems. Work also includes selective demolition, ceiling replacement, painting, plumbing, concrete, lighting, replacement of power and control wiring, hazardous material abatement, and miscellaneous related work, as shown on the Plans and Technical Specifications.
