Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Arlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of March 15, 2024 project is not yet awarded. Town Hall Clock Tower Removal. General Bidders must be certified by DCAMM in the category of Demolition. THE PROJECT SCOPE INCLUDES DEMOLITION OF THE CLOCK TOWER/CUPOLA AND INSTALLING ROOFING OVER THE REMAINING BASE FOR A WATERTIGHT INSTALLATION. DEMOLITION INCLUDES REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING TERRACOTTA CUPOLA TOWER TO THE BASE AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS, SALVAGE OF SPECIFIC TERRACOTTA SECTIONS AND THE CLOCKS AS NOTED, MD DEMOLUTION OF UNUSED ELECTRICAL WIRING AND CONTROLS. AN INSULATED MEMBRANE ROOF SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED OVER THE EXISTING TERRACOTTA AND BRICK BASE AND NEW ROOF INSTALLATION WILL INCLUDE INSTALLATION OF A ROO; HATCH SIZED TO COORDINATE WIT-I AT THE EXISTING SLAB OPENING FOR MAINTENANCE ACCESS. ROOF MEMBRANE AND FLASHING WILL BE REMOVED AND PATCHED AT THE BASE AS REQUIRED FOR A WATERTIGHT INSTALLATION. THE DEMOLITION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION WORK SHALL INCLUDE ALL NECESSARY PROVISIONS TO PROTECT WALK WAYS AND THE STRUCTURE BELOW.
