The Lowndes County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for Roofing repairs for the Lowndes County Governmental Building located at 300 N Patterson St, Valdosta, GA 31601. Roof Repairs for the Governmental Building. Time Frame of Project: All work must be completed by April 30, 2024. Liquidated Damages: $1,000.00/day after the deadline of project of April 30, 2024. The work to be performed under this agreement shall consist of all damages to the roofs (upper and lower coping cap) caused by hurricane Idalia. Additional efforts required to comply with this goal shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder and shall be included in the bid. The purpose of this request is to solicit bids from qualified companies for repairs to roofs and structure damage due to Hurricane Idalia. Lowndes County reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive technicalities and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Business License: include proof of a valid business license or occupational tax certificate from Lowndes County. If you don't have a Business License from Lowndes County, provide one from the town that you do have one in. If you win the award for this service, you will have to get one from Lowndes County. Bids must be signed in ink by a company official who has authorization to commit company resources. Bids submitted are not publicly available until after award of the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners. Any proprietary information contained in the bid should be so indicated. However, a general indication that the entire content, or a major portion, of the bid is proprietary will not be honored.
