Site work for a water / sewer project in Sac City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Relocation of existing 10-inch sanitary sewer main with approximately 400 linear feet of 10-inch PVC sanitary sewer main along with associated surface removal and replacement. The work shall commence on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially complete within 120 calendar days and completed and ready for final payment within 180 calendar days from the date ofthe Notice to Proceed. Should the Contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for substantial completion and $250 per calendar day for final completion will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract terms The successful bidder will be required to furnish bonds in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100 percent) of the contract price, said bonds to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment for all materials and labor and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of Contractor Bidder is highly encouraged to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas. During the visit the Bidder must not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site Question Deadline 01/30/2024
