The City desires to obtain proposals from qualified individuals, firms, and legal entities to enter into a fixed price contract relative to supplying Lot Clearing , Nuisance and Tree Removal Services. Contract period shall be for an initial Three (3) year period with an option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods contingent upon satisfactory service and mutual agreement of the parties. Economic price adjustments may be allowed if the appropriate documentation is provided to substantiate the price adjustment. Bid Bond: None Project Estimated Budget: $250,000.00 1. Tree - Vegetation having a trunk with a diameter of three (3) inches or more. 2. Brush - Bushes, undergrowth, or saplings having trunks less than three (3) inches in diameter. 2 of 22 eBid#20240014 3. Diameter - Trunk as measured at a point one (1) foot above the ground. In the case of a tree or sapling with multiple trunks diverging at a point less than one (1) foot above ground, the diameter shall be measured just below the point of divergence. 4. Trimming - The cutting and removal of any limbs, branches, etc. 5. Removing or removal - The complete removal by cutting down at or near the ground line. 6. Flat Clearing - Removal of all trees and brush to ground level within a specified area. 7. Selective Clearing - Removing of all trees and brush within a specified area, except for selected specimens, or any other as requested by the City. 8. Hazard Trees - Trees or branches that could endanger persons, personal property, or real estate if broken or falls down. 9. Forestry - Large tree on-site grinding, skid steer with Fecon-type equipment. 10. Slope Mowing - Specialized track equipment to mow in unstable, steep slopes and tight quadrants. The City reserves the right to proceed to award without further discussions after receipt of the initial proposals, in which case, evaluation committee reviews, negotiations and Proposal Revisions may not be required. In the event the estimated value of the Contract is less than $75,000, the City reserves the right to proceed directly to Contract award without posting a Notice of Intent to Award. The initial term of the Contract(s) is for three (3) years with four (4), one (1) year option(s) to renew, which options shall be exercisable at the sole discretion of the City. Renewal will be accomplished through the issuance of a Contract amendment from the City's Procurement Management Division. The selected contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses, certifications, etc., required by federal, state, county, and municipal laws, regulations codes, and ordinances for the performance of the work required in these specifications and to conform to the requirements of said legislation.
