Site work for a transportation facility in Avon Park, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The project consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment at the Avon Park Executive Airport (AVO) to remove/install perimeter AOA fence, access gates, CCTV cameras/operating system, associated electrical/fiber connections, and clearing of multiple dense vegetative areas within the project limits as shown on the plans. The scope of work also includes removal and reinstallation of the rotating beacon located on the eastern portion of the airfield. See bidding documents for details. A Bid Bond in the form as bound in the contract documents or certified check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must accompany each bid. Successful bidder shall be required to execute and to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total value of the contract awarded to him with a satisfactory surety or sureties for the full and faithful performance of the work. The City of Avon Park reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the Work. Sponsors are required to set goals for minority participation in AIP funded projects exceeding $10,000. The goals for minority participation derive from Economic Area (EA) and Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA) as established in Volume 45 of the Federal Register dated 10/3/80. Sealed proposals are to be mailed to the address of 110 E. Main Street, Avon Park, Florida 33825 prior to the bid opening date and time. Sealed proposals can be hand delivered to the address of 110 E. Main Street, Avon Park, Florida 33825 the day of the opening, Sealed proposals shall be made to the attention of Andy Mogle, Purchasing Agent, City of Avon Park, Florida. Bidders must submit proposals for this work on the forms provided. Other proposal forms will not be accepted. Bidders must be licensed in accordance with Florida laws. The last day for questions related to the bid documents shall be Tuesday, January 23, 2024 5:00pm EST. No allowance will be made after Bids are received for oversight byBidder.
