Site work and paving for a road / highway in Duluth, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Update:This project will create a new intersection and corresponding road at Buford Highway and the existing Davenport Road, adjacent to the Duluth Police Safety Center. The new Davenport Road extension will link to Main Street and create a downtown transportation grid complete with turning lanes, sidewalks, signage, lighting, and curb and gutter. The new roadway will seamlessly incorporate a now complete 13 acre downtown neighborhood. This project is now complete and the road is open to the public. Project is included in City of Duluth Fiscal Year 2025-2029 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A detailed Scope has not yet been determined The project is include in the City's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
