Renovation of an educational facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,063-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Renovation of one apartment unit into package center and other work as indicated in the Contract Documents. Contractor is responsible for providing ground penetrating radar to avoid reinforcement and utilities in or under concrete slabs and like conditions. Survey existing soils conditions and account for removal and replacement and shoring impacts or account for in allowances or unit cost method. There are 2 types of hot work to consider; welding/ grinding and the other is hot electrical power access. A hot work permit submittal is required for the welding/ grinding scope and EHS shall be notified of event. No hot work electrical access permitted at UNC. Electrical Contractor must provide a minimum of 7 day notice of a power shutdown to be coordinated with the parties impacted by the disruption in service. HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors must provide a minimum 7 day notice of a service shutdown to be coordinated with the parties impacted by the disruption in service.
