Demolition, site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bellevue, Washington. Working plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; for site work for a swimming pool; and for the demolition of a swimming pool.
Work consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of the pool deck. Question deadline: 02/06/2024 at 09:00 a.m. Questions pertaining to the bid are to be sent via email to MichelleJ@kcha.org no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid due date. All responses shall be in the form of Addenda. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: As a condition of award Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount shall be furnished for the Work. On contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) or less, at Contractors option the requirement may be waived in lieu of an additional 5% (total 10%) retainage. CONTACT PERSON: Michelle Jackson at MichelleJ@kcha.org The Work consists of, but is not limited to, the replacement of the pool deck as indicated in the plan and specifications and includes the following: 1. Remove security fencing and gates to allow for access. Retain upper level fence on retainer wall structure. 2. Demolition and off-site disposal of concrete pool deck, coping and tile band at top of pool wall. 3. Remove and store hand rails for reinstallation with new anchors. 4. Furnish and install new concrete pool deck with 2' x 2' saw cuts, including strip drain, coping, decorative tile band, skimmers access with covers and accessories as required. 5. Connect strip drain system to existing sewer stub out location. (See 03.2-Stegmeier Frontier PVC Drain) 6. Furnish and install new depth and "no diving" tiles. 7. Furnish and install new tile band at water line below coping. 8. Reinstall all hand rails. 9. Test all pool functions prior to pouring concrete deck to insure there are no leaks or damaged lines. 10. Install new ornamental iron pool fence, gates and hardware to match existing layout. 11. Ensure retained pool fence remains undisturbed or reset to straight, level and plumb throughout deck replacement work. 12. Perform final clean up and disposal of all materials, waste, tools, and equipment. Work shall conform to the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction including but not limited to the City of Bellevue and the King County Health Department, and Water Recreation Facilities - Chapter 246-260 Washington Administrative Code - Rules and Regulations of the Washington State Board of Health, the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act, and the Consumer Product Safety Guidelines LIQUIDATED DAMAGES A. Liquidated damages will be assessed for each calendar day that the Contractor exceeds the time for completion in the amount of $250. The Work shall be completed in 30 calendar days
