King County Housing Authority (KCHA) will accept bids from qualified general contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to perform the following: SCOPE OF WORK: Work includes, but is not limited to, removal & replacement of existing windows, sliding glass patio doors and exterior trim, and other tasks as described in the bid documents. Project Location: Ballinger Commons Apartments, 2405 North 202nd Place, Shoreline, WA 98133. a. Building D - 20 Apartment Units: 10 fixed Windows, 30 Operable windows, 20 Sliding Glass Patio Doors b. Building E - 20 Apartment Units: 10 fixed Windows, 30 operable windows, 20 Sliding Glass Patio Doors c. Totals:.80 Windows, 40 Sliding Glass Patio Doors d. It is the responsibility of the bidder to verify all existing windows and doors sizes, window operating units, sliding door operating units. KCHA takes no responsibility for the number, location or orientation of the existing units. Bidders must verify the number and orientation of all replacement units and include replacement of all windows and doors to match existing prior to submitting bids. The Work consists of, but is not limited to: a. Removal of existing windows, sliding glass patio doors and exterior trim. b. Trim or add material to ensure that windows and doors meet wraps, sills and countertops, and finished flooring. c. Supply and installation of vinyl windows, sliding glass doors, fasteners, selfadhesive tape, sealant, 5/4" trim and metal flashing. d. Paint trim boards to match existing. e. Repair interior window wraps and sills. The Work shall be completed in 60 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. Estimate $126,737 Question Deadline 02/06/2024 at 9:00 AM PT. Addenda will be posted electronically. As a condition of award Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount shall be furnished for the Work. On contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) or less, at Contractors option the requirement may be waived in lieu of an additional 5% (total 10%) retainage.
