No definite date for rebid.** The Scope of Work for Ida B Wells Roofing Repair must include and not be limited to the following: Scope of Work Roof Repairs Westside hallway of Cafe & Classrooms 201-205 (Duro last "PVC" Membrane) o Inspect roof in areas above for visible damage. o Seal all holes, cuts & loose seams. o Patch & Repair any areas that are leaking. o Repair/replaced Flash for curbs. o Repair/replace Flash for pitch pockets. o Repair/replace Flash for pipes. o Areas previously coated will be repaired with like materials. o Clean up Jobsite upon completion. The successful Bidder accepts this contract with the understanding that should they fail to complete the work/delivery in an acceptable manner and in the time stated, shall be subject to the payment of liquidated damages as stated in the bid document. Liquidated damages for this project are as follows: $500.00 /per day substantial completion deadline missed, and $500.00/per day completion deadline missed. Bidders are required to submit a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that may exceed $100K. Should the Bidder withdraw their bid response without entering into a contract the Bid Bond may be forfeited in whole or in part. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to submit a performance and/or labor bond, Cashier's or Certified Check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total estimated contract amount for each individual school location, as determined by SCBE and specified in the IFB, to ensure the satisfactory completion of the work for which a contract or purchase order is awarded that exceeds $100K. Questions that are deemed to be substantive in nature will be responded to in the form of an addendum and posted on January 18, 2024 electronically. The work shall begin after issuance of the "Notice to Proceed. Estimated start time is 02/1/2024. Final completion date is projected at 05/15/2024. The blackout dates where no work can be performed are April 15th - May 3rd, with the exception of weekends. The Shelby County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive any minor informalities and/or technicalities that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Shelby County Board of Education.
