St. Cloud Fire Station 1 houses three (3) around-the-clock emergency response units to areas requiring the highest service delivery in our city. This facility also houses response units from our command staff and investigations services. In addition, this facility houses all fire administration offices, fire prevention offices and the Office of the Fire Marshal, as well as all training and education services. The progression of fire and emergency services since the 1988 construction of this facility have altered drastically, resulting in storage rooms used as offices and a degradation of the department's ability to serve community needs. The accommodation to these needs will be accomplished through a renovation and expansion of the facility. Key items include obtaining modern health, safety, and response standards, proper offices, meeting spaces for community interaction, and records-storage capacity. The project is include in the city's 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
