St. Cloud Fire Station 3 (1201 University Drive, Southeast) houses around-the-clock emergency response resources with a high service demand. This facility houses a full engine company, as well as rescue boat, reserve engine, and wildland firefighting apparatus. As one of the City's oldest fire stations, the increase in workload and operation of this station and general aging of the facility require renovation and enhancement to accommodate needs and prevent unnecessary maintenance costs. Specific needs in addition to a general replacement and renovation of commercial facility systems, include an additional apparatus bay to accommodate equipment, accommodations for firefighting gear storage in an effort to reduce firefighter cancer risks in our facilities, physical fitness accommodations, and space for educational deliveries and meetings. The project is include in the city's 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
