Site work for a water / sewer project in Saint Augusta, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The facility is equipped with two (2) 20" wide by 12' tall steel tainter gates. They pass ice and debris during the Spring when the ice goes out and are opened when one or both of the generator units are shut down. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requires an Independent Engineer inspect the gates every (5) five years. The last inspection, 2021, reports the gates in relatively good shape but show signs of the surface coating missing and areas of superficial rust was noted. The recommendation is to sand blast and resurface the gates. The old heating elements will be replaced. Other maintenance will be completed as needed. As of January 8, 2024, this project is included in the city’s 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction scheduled for 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
