Site work for a mixed-use development in Effingham, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
Florence County, South Carolina is accepting sealed bids from a qualified contractor to provide labor, materials, equipment, and services required to construct improvements to an access drive on a section of Pound Road leading to the Florence County Sheriff's Office Training Center site. The project is located at 1553 Humane Lane, Effingham, SC 29541. The improvements include draining an existing 3.80 acre pond and infilling the corner of the pond to increase the turning radius to allow for safe tractor trailer passage to the Training Facility. In addition to the pond infilling, the access drive will be smoothed, and a thicker layer of gravel shall be placed to construct the new access drive. The proposed access drive will follow the current alignment of the existing drive and terminate with a loop near the Training Center. This will allow tractor trailers to enter and exit the site without having to perform a back up maneuver.
