Renovation of a detention facility in Vanceboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Per Addendum 3 Project is being Rebid The project scope of work includes the installation of air conditioning in two (2) dormitories (Dorm C and Dorm D). This will be accomplished through the replacement of the four (4) existing heating and ventilating systems serving inmate housing areas, (two (2) systems in Dorm C and two (2) systems in Dorm D) at the Craven Correctional Institution. New dx cooling system capabilities will also be added through the installation of four (4) new condensing units. The HVAC controls will also be upgraded to accommodate the new systems. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
