The gym lighting system at Russell Middle School is in need of replacement. The project includes removal of the existing gym lighting system, equipment and cabling and replacing it with a new LED lighting system and lighting controls. The project includes removal of the existing gym lighting system, equipment and cabling and replacing it with a new LED lighting system and lighting controls. Lighting and controls in the adjacent commons area is to be replaced as part of an alternate bid. B. Work under this contract includes all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner, the work required for the construction of the Russell Middle School gym lighting replacement. C. Work in the facility shall be allowed after normal student classroom hours during the school year and all hours during summer break. However, the contractor must provide, at all times, for clear exit paths, proper lighting, and fire/smoke protection (subject to approval of all authorities having jurisdiction) and protection against any and all fumes and odors caused by construction activities. The contractor shall halt or modify any activities the Owner determines to be disruptive in any manner to their continued use of the building. 1. BASE BID SCHEDULE: General Contractor may start work on the interior renovations on Friday, May 24th, 2024 and will substantially complete the interior renovations construction work on or before July 28th, 2024. 2. Final Completion shall be on or before Friday, August 9th, 2024.
