Scope of Work: o Limits: Within 600 feet of the intersection on each approach o Traffic signal construction at the intersection o ADA curb ramps on two corners of the intersection o Pavement Markings on all approaches o Replace, relocate or remove signs on each approach o Underground utilities shall be located and verified prior to beginning any construction work o Any request for modifications must be submitted in writing and approved by the Design Consultant & Bexar County Public Works o All work will be located within the existing Right-of-Way o Duration for Completion - Within 45 Working Days o Liquidated Damages - $700/Working Day o Schedule for Completion - One construction phase for the all traffic signal, ADA Ramps, Signing and Pavement Markings o Any request for modifications must be submitted in writing and approved by the Design Consultant & Bexar County Public Works o Traffic Control - Use Standard TxDOT Standard Traffic Signal Work Barricades and Signs Standards for TCP (WZ (BTS-1-2) -13 o Site Conditions: o Parking - Restricted to work area o Material storage requirements - Staging area is not shown on construction documents, Contractor's responsibility to determine location with Bexar County's approval Stockpiling shall not obstruct conveyance of any existing drainage path o Review all Governing Specifications and Special Specifications in the Project Manual o Karst Features - Bexar County and Engineer must be notified immediately if Karst features are encountered during construction and excavation activities o Protection of facilities and equipment o Contractor's Responsibility o Streets, property, and utilities damaged outside Project Area due to construction will be repaired at Contractor's expense o Protection of Overhead/Aerial Electric and Telecom, Underground Gas & Telecom, Underground Water and Sewer Facilities - Refer to Construction Plans "General Notes" Sheet 5. Utility locations shown on the plans are approximate and will be the Contractor's responsibility to notify the appropriate utility companies 72 hours prior to construction for better locations. o Working on site (noise, safety requirements, hours, etc.) o Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM), Saturday's only with 72 hours approval from Bexar County staff. o Residential Area o Site Visit/Walkthrough - No formal site visit required, but we highly encourage you visit the site o Permitting - Contractor responsible for all permits (TCEQ permit, EPA, etc.)
