Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Salina, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project includes a new memorial, water wall, spray ground, plaza and sidewalk network within the Jerry Ivey Memorial Park in Salina, Kansas. The memorial for fallen police officer Jerry Ivey is being improved with the relocated landscape boulder/plague, a new plaza, 3 lighted flagpoles, stair, connecting walks and landscaping. The spray ground is flanked on the west side with an 80' long stepped wall to a maximum of about 6' tall. The wall is constructed with limestone boulders and a concrete waterfall feature all on concrete footings. A shallow basin will be installed adjacent to the wall with submersible up lights providing evening interest. This basin becomes the start to the spray ground existing into a water channel through the 3,000 square feet concrete spray ground with exposed aggregates. The spray ground has LED lighted jets, bubblers from limestone boulders and different spray features expected to support lots of joy and laughter during the warm weather months. The tank and water sanitation systems are prefabricated. Water supply lines and sanitary sewer connections are included. Site improvements include landscape restoration,. Each Bidder shall submit with its Bid a certified check, cashier's check on a solvent bank, or an acceptable bidding bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount shown on the Bid. This security shall be made payable to the City and will serve as a guarantee that the Bidder will file all bonds and securities required and enter into any Contract awarded to Bidder in accordance with the terms of the Bid within ten (10) days after notice of award. If the successful Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Contract and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) days after the notice of award, the City may consider the Bidder to be in default, annul the notice of award, and the bid security of that Bidder shall be forfeited as liquidated damages and the money derived therefrom will be turned to the use of the City..
