Demolition, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,223-square-foot laboratory facility; for the construction of a laboratory facility; and for the demolition of a laboratory facility.
The Work of the Contract Documents can be summarized as follows 1. Tenant Improvement of approximately 2,200 SF of the 1st floor of the I Wing at UW Health Sciences for the department of Rehab Medicine converts existing lab spaces into new classrooms. The scope of work includes demolition of lab casework and equipment, removal and replacement of all existing finishes, construction of partitions, installation of an operable partition and associated supporting structure. The project requires extensive MEP work to support reconfigured areas including new lighting, power, communications and addition of VAV boxes. The project includes the following work: Create a classroom and clinical skills lab for SoM Rehab Medicine in I164. The space is currently occupied by a lab. SoM is decommissioning the lab equipment and removing hoods, furniture and equipment. New construction includes the demolition of all interior walls, finishes, lighting, casework and mechanical ducting. Construct a storage room and classroom with a moveable partition. Provide new finishes, lighting, power/data receptacles, modify HVAC system as required, modify sprinkler and fire alarm as required by code.
