Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Talco, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Plans call for reservoir main stem of the Sulphur River in Red River and Titus counties located in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The required flooding approximately 100 square miles of farms, hardwood forests and timber plantations as well as force the relocation of residents in that area. As of November 18, 2025, the Texas Water Development Board is seeking input on the following Implementation timeline, associated costs, land acquisition considerations and economic impact. The feasibility review was presented to the Legislative Budget Board and Government Gret Abbot on January 5, 2024. It is currently unknown if an architect, construction manager, and general contractor have been contracted with the school district. Further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been released.
