The City of Georgetown is accepted sealed bids for the construction project:Smith Branch Lift Station Rehabilitation The project consists of furnishing, installing and providing all labor and materials required to construct a proposed Smith Branch Lift Station adjacent the Smith Branch Creek. Bidders submitting bids through the E-bid System shall scan and up-load a copy of their Bid Security (sealed Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashiers Check ) as an attachment to their electronic bid. Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified cashiers check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, payable to the City of Georgetown in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids must be submitted on the complete project. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to City of Georgetown, ATTN: Purchasing, 510 W. 9th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 and the outside of the envelope must be marked Smith Branch Lift Station Rehabilitation Original documents for Bid Security will be requested by the City from the lowest two bidders and delivered to the Citys Purchasing Buyer within 48 business hours of the Bid Opening. Bid Security shall be postmarked and mailed to: City Purchasing Office, Georgetown Municipal Court, 510 W. 9th Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626. Performance and Payment Bonds, when required, shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent surety or insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Texas and as specifically prescribed in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. Minimum insurance requirements are specified in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay to laborers, workmen, and mechanics the prevailing wage rates as required by the Supplemental Conditions. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive minor technicalities, and to award a contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Owner, appear to be in its best interest. Bidding Documents are on file and may be examined at the office of the Kasberg, Patrick & Associates, LP, 1008 South Main Street, Georgetown, TX 78626, 512-819-9478. The Work will be substantially completed within 450 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 480 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. A minor technicality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid. All questions and inquiries about the project should be directed to Thomas D. Questions after that time and date will not be answered and the Engineer and/or Owner shall not be bound by any references or dates obtained by the Bidders unless an official addendum is produced and released by Kasberg, Patrick & Associates, LP The Owner reserves the right to hold any or all proposals for the period of time from the opening of bids as specified in Section 00300, Bid Form. Effective January 1, 2016, Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 requires persons who enter into contract with a government entity to submit a disclosure of interested parties (Form 1295) to the governmental entity or state agency at the time the business entity submits the signed contract to the governmental entity or state agency. The law applies only to a contract of a governmental entity or state agency that either (1) requires an action or vote by the governing body of the entity or agency before the contract may be signed or (2) has a value of at least $1 million. Summary of Work: Rehabilitate Existing Wet Well (clean and coat) Blast, Clean, Coat all Existing Discharge Piping Site Improvements (fencing, access road, gate) Remove & Replace Existing Diversion/Bypass Vault Hatch, Guide Stem & Supports Remove Electrical Platform & Components Construct Electrical Building Furnish and Install Generator Waterline Extension Contractor shall supply an updated schedule with each monthly pay application, noting key milestones. A. Furnish and install 480 volt motor control center (MCC) as shown on the drawings and specified herein. Work shall include all necessary materials, equipment, labor, and services. B. Auxiliary and accessory devices necessary for system operation or performance, such as relays or terminals to interface with other Sections of these Specifications, shall be included. C. MCC shall be rated 480 volt, three phase, four wire, 60 Hertz power system having a short circuit availability of 65kA amperes RMS symmetrical. D. Provide power study sealed by a professional engineer licensed in the State of Texas. Power study shall include fault current study, breaker settings, arc flash study and permanent labels.
