The State Preservation Board is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for elevator contractors to modernize an existing single, three-level residential elevator using open-source equipment and controls that are readily available throughout the elevator market. The services provided by the Contractor shall begin on a date determined by SPB, no earlier than the date the contract is executed by both parties. The contract will commence on March 20, 2024, and terminate on August 31, 2025. The Contract may be renewed for a one-year term, beginning September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026. The renewal, if exercised, will be executed in the form of a contract amendment to be issued by SPB no sooner than ninety days prior to the expiration date of the initial contract. Refusal by either party to exercise the renewal will cause the Contract to expire on August 31, 2025. All work must be completed while the residence is unoccupied. The work will be scheduled after the contract is awarded and may occur up to 12 months after award of the RFP. SPB reserves the right to change the dates in the schedule upon written notification through a posting of an addendum on the ESBD. The estimated budget for the services described in this RFP is $200,000. The selected Contractor shall modernize an existing single three-level residential elevator using open-source equipment and controls that are readily available throughout the elevator market. The selected Contractor will provide all equipment, labor, coordination and supervisory activities necessary to complete the project as more fully described in the Attachment A, Scope of Work.
