The City ofEscanaba Public Safety Department is seeking proposals for the purchase of a new unused stationary 80 kW natural gas generator, automatic transfer switch and a manual throw switch. The intended use ofthis generator will provide stand-by power in case ofpower outage events and other emergencies. It also provides us an upgrade at our building. The automatic transfer switch will preferably be manufactured by the same manufacturer as the generator, so they are compatible. The manual throw switch will allow us to use an external source ofpower ifneeded. This generator will be in a residential area so an outdoor unit with a sound attenuated enclosure will be required.
