Site work and addition to a medical facility in Gatineau, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 19,688-square-foot, two-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Temporary modular premises - Endoscopy, day medicine and administrative offices connected to the Gatineau hospital. The lack of space in the Gatineau hospital for the expansion of the endoscopy department, as well as the absence of space for the development of a day medicine department in the Gatineau sector are the basis of this request in a context of transition towards the construction of a new hospital. The temporary modular premises connected to the Gatineau hospital could be on site for a period of approximately 15 years, which approximately corresponds to the lifespan without major maintenance for modular premises, as well as the transition period to a new hospital in Outaouais. The two-story premises would house an endoscopy department on the ground floor, as well as day medicine on the upper floor, with administrative offices. TIMELINE: Request for proposals # CISSSO-2425-001-S (Reference number: 1795447) for architectural, civil/structure and mechanical/electrical engineering services to complete design was cancelled in 2024.
