Demolition, site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 7,000-square-foot day care center; for the construction of a day care center; and clubhouse / community center.
Work includes but is not limited to the addition of a 7,000 SF second floor above an existing first floor at the Childcare Wing of the Hayes Taylor Memorial YMCA. The project will comply with MWBE participation targets, consistent with the policies of the City of Greensboro. As of October 17, 2024, this project is underway. A general contractor has been awarded. A firm timeline for completion has not been announced. This project is funded partly or in total by the Federal Government, therefore bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights act of 1964 (24 CFR, Parts 1 and 2; (HUD 4010); the Davis-Bacon Act; the Byrd Anti-Lobbying Amendment and the Contract Hours and Safety Standards Act. Addendum #1-#4 have been issued as of 3-4-2024.
