The project includes the renovation of the existing (2) two high school greenhouse structures by disposing of the existing sidewall, end wall, partition wall, and roof panels, existing heaters and ventilation / cooling equipment and providing new 8mm polycarbonate wall & roof panels; new aluminum extrusions, new doors, frames, and hardware; heating equipment; ventilation equipment; cooling equipment; control systems; and all associated mechanical / electrical work as indicated in the Contract Documents. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received and shall have the right to reject any and all bids. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.490 to 45A.494. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445. Federal Wage rates ARE NOT applicable to this project. Direct purchase orders do NOT apply to this project. Non-conformance to the requirements above shall be grounds for rejection of the bid. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents are available from Maco- Evansville Blue. Charges to obtain electronic copies must be arranged with Maco-Evansville Blue. No partial sets will be issued. Deposits will be refunded to contractors that submit an acceptable proposal directly to the Owner, and return documents in a condition that is reusable.
