Rehabilitation of Various Concrete Alleys and Sanitary Sewers and Transfer Station Floor Repairs and Associated Work. This project is generally described as: the rehabilitation of various concrete alleys and sanitary sewers and transfer station floor repairs and associated work. The Valves must be available for delivery to the Project Site within 365 calendar days from execution of the Purchase Order. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a copy of certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. A copy of the certified check must be attached to the bid proposal in e-builder. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest single lump sum/unit cost price proposal accepted by the FKAA. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. All bid bonds, contract bonds, insurance contracts, and certificates of insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and qualified to do business in the State of Florida. The successful Bidder shall hold or obtain such Business Licenses as required by State Statutes. The FKAA reserves the right to reject all Proposals where the FKAA deems rejection to be in its best interest, or to reject any Proposal not in compliance with the Contract Documents. The FKAA reserves right to waive any informalities and irregularities in said Proposals. The project consists of materials supply of thirteen (13) 36" Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves, three (3) 30" Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves, and two (2) 18" Stainless Steel Butterfly Valves for incorporation into the Plantation Key (1175-22), Knights Key (1174-22), Snake Creek (1155-17), and C-111 (1137-15) transmission main replacement projects All questions about the meaning or intent of the Procurement Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing at the online. The Purchase Order, if awarded, will be based on materials and equipment specified or described in the Procurement Bidding Documents. Bidders may propose "or equal" materials and equipment by providing specs and details of the alternative equipment for consideration by the Engineer and Buyer, but not later than 15 days prior to bid opening. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this procurement. The FKAA and the Bidder agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) the Bidder shall pay the FKAA $500 for each day that expires after the time specified for delivery until delivery of all materials has been completed. Buyer reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Buyer also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Goods.
